Yea, it's not a perfect science... also, Notre Dame has a more recent loss. That's how these things always work. Why is Tennessee ranked ahead of Florida in the pools? What's the mean air velocity of an african swallow?

Yes. But Notre Dame shold have lost to Michigan State, who is terrible. Georgia Tech has dominated all of its weaker opponents.

Also, Arkansas is behind Auburn but Arkansas put a whoopin on Auburn ON THE ROAD. Very good points. However, they escaped with wins against Vandy and Alabama by a total of 3 points, and got massacred by USC. You have to look at a whole season.

chubbs more recent loss thing doesnt really hold for your poll. see: then texas should be the top one-loss team.
also, i guess i felt you used the escaping with wins thing pretty selectively. tennessee beat airforce by 1 point. auburn escaped south carolina bc of that dropped touchdown pass. (the one anthony said is the reason he could never coach).
im also not as down on w.va as you guys all seem to be..
